Who?: Tiago "mow" Rodrigues
Age: 18
Team: MYTEAM
IRC: #MYTEAM

I am both delighted and sad to do this interview. On one hand I'm interviewing my personal favourite CoD star, and on the other hand is the fact that this player will no longer be part of this great scene. With this interview I hope to clear up why mow and the whole MYTEAM crew decided to end the story.

Hello Mow, could you please introduce yourself?
Hi, my name is Tiago Rodrigues, im 18 years old and I live in Portugal where im finishing my studies at highschool.

How did you started gaming?
I started playing online video games some years ago, started with MoH:AA when some friends said it was cool, after a couple of months on it I joined my first team (Masters) and thats where I learned almost everything I know nowadays, after that I just switch to BF1942 and followed the cod series till now.

What else do you do in "real life"?
I love hanging out with my friends all the time, playing sports, going out, having loads of fun all the time am?siert friends + girls + drinks + smokes = fun, haha basicly thats what I do.

Let’s dig deeper into the recent move, the ending of MYTEAM. What was the main reason?
Well, basicly it all happened by one reason, ill explain. When you play games online, you play for fun BUT when I play something I wanna be the best in it or else I consider it pointless to play, its an way of acting in life and honestly after playing for 5/6 years I want to get something in reward for playing, something that ive never had in all these years, so when you stop having fun you only keep playing if you get rewarded and when you don't, you quit. Me and dev think the same way and we have a long chat about this and about our lifes in the future and thats when we realised it wasn't worth it to keep playing at such a high level.

Did the ban of Vanho had anything to do with it?
No, we didn't quit or anything because of vanho's ban even tho it was a bullshit ban and we didn't actually care about it, the only thing his ban affected was a period we had of a little less motivation but that didn't affect my or dev's departure from gaming.

Does living in Portugal affect your decision? Does it make it any harder to find actual support or getting into top teams?
Yes, grand part of the decision was because gaming in Portugal is not really developed yet. There aren't many teams that I consider at a professional level and the ones that are can't give you the support if you want to be the best in your game, because you can only be the best if you compete at the highest level online and offline, if you don't get any support to attend offline events its impossible for you to do anything 'big'.

What will you continue doing? Can we expect to see you on public servers and on mixes now and then? Or is this the ending of your gaming career as a whole?
Related to gaming you can see me playing 2moons sometimes with the same people ive always played but I wont play COD4 in any team, theres only one team I would like to still play to really end my career but that situation isn't possible. Maybe ill play some mixes with my friends but no more teams, no more high level competitions, at least for now its the best and I wont say its the end forever neither that I will one day comeback, lets see what the future brings.

Any last tips you can give your fellow gamers?
Factors to become the best: high level experience, losing multiple times till reaching 'perfection', motivation, dedication, talent (if you don't have it you may just quit now) and must important factor, be the leader of a team, for me its the biggest and best experience you can get from gaming, to learn how to 'command' a team of 5 players in a game, the need to think for 5 people and to lead 5 players to victory, it really develops you skillwise.

Thanks for the interview Mow! Any last shoutouts or things you want to add?
Im the one thats gratefull! Im not gonna to say thanks to everyone who helped me to reach this level because they know who they are and they also know im thankfull for that, ill just wish good luck for those who keep playing call of duty 4 and I hope none of them quit, the game is awesome and its going to be a great game in compettive level, don't waste the chance if you get supported zwinkern
